We design and manufacture exceptional leather handbags. Each bag is unique and has its own vibrant personality, inspired by the many unique and vibrant cities in Africa. Our designs are just as original as the cities which they are named after.
Elle Reve Quality
At Elle Rêve we use only the best quality genuine bovine leather and pure cotton kitenge. All our beaded embellishments are hand-beaded by African women in our community. Look at the inside!! Our bags are just as beautiful on the inside, giving you all the pockets and space you need.
Founder
Elle Rêve was established in 2017. Liesel-Mari Fritz was born and raised in Africa, she fell in love with Uganda, the Pearl of Africa - and it's beautiful smiling people. She lived there for 7 years and recently calls Tanzania Home. In the mists of fighting breast cancer she started dreaming of empowering more women by teaching them to sew and passing on the skills which will enable them to dream their own dreams.

Norah Nambassa Prossy
Norah is Ugandan born in Luweero District in the countryside. Her hunt for a nanny job connected her to the Fritz family. After two years of being a nanny, she was offered a chance to join Elle Rêve as a seamstress, an offer she has never regretted. She fell in love with Liesel's creativity, her ability to pair fabrics and leather which makes everything we make unique. With this, she and her three boys live a better life and the future is brighter.
"We don't hunt for jobs anymore, jobs hunt for us!" she says, proudly.
